Humane Society Silicon Valley (HSSV) is launching the first Dog Scouts of America troop in the Bay Area! Join us every 4th Wednesday of the month from 6:30-7:30pm in Classroom B at HSSV’s Animal Community Center, 901 Ames Ave in Milpitas. This informational meeting is free. First-time attendees should leave their dog(s) at home until they meet with a troop leader. Dogs must be dog social and on leash at all times.

Get a better understanding of how your dog thinks, learns, and what drives his behavior. Learn how your dog can earn the title of 'Dog Scout' and begin earning patches, participating in events, camps, etc! If you believe in positive reinforcement, making your dog(s) part of the family and setting an example of responsible dog ownership then this is just what you have been looking for!

To learn more click here. or call Beth Ward at HSSV: 408.262.2133 ext. 178

Members and those interested in joining should meet near the large exercise yard closest to Ames Avenue. We will be learning how to do dog-to-dog introductions.
