The Festival of Trees was a Huge Success!

The Milpitas City Hall rotunda was transformed this week into a gala of giving for the Second Annual Festival of Trees sponsored in part by Absolute Capital Inc. The party and live auction featured beautiful holiday-themed trees presented by businesses, with proceeds going to support the Milpitas Parks and Recreation Foundation's grant and scholarship programs. Nearly $10,000 was raised from the auction of the trees and donations, and will be used to help needy families from Milpitas.

On hand with plenty of holiday spirit were Mayor Robert Livengood, Councilwoman Debbie Giordano, and Frank De Smidt and Gaye Miranda from the Milpitas Chamber of Commerce. Others in attendance included local business leaders and residents Robin Hays, Dr. Bao Le, Myha Trieu, Ponce Castello, Wanda Olinger and many more.

Thanks to the efforts of the dedicated volunteers who produced the event, everyone that attended had a fantastic time meeting new and interesting people and enjoying great food and spirited holiday music.
